The Ultimate Bowl Betting Commandment

The sports betting community does not just make lines for others to follow., they also make their own rules. They have even come up with the Ten Commandments for betting in the bowl games. This is supposed to have ten do’s and don’ts in making a bet but we’ll just take the first commandment.
Thou shall look and pick the games’ straight up winner.
Usually the underdogs players are always preoccupied by the pointspread in their games. The lines set in every game matters most when the game’s favorite wins. The pointspread is covered when the opposite happens with the underdogs winning the match up. The relationship of the line and pointspread is showed in terms of inverse proportion that is the line is high and the pointspread is low or the line is low when the pointspread is high.
The record for the line and pointspread since the 1991 season shows the 73.5% pointspread of the winning team. This percentage is almost 3 games won out of four in the total of 5,200 games. The bowl games had a higher percentage and whose lines just reached 11% of the entire 150 bowl games. The winning team covered the pointspread of 88.7% in all eight seasons since 1991.
These figures just prove the first given commandment. This means that a good bowl bettor must control his obsessions with the line and must check on the teams with the greater chance of winning straight up in the game.
