Tri-lingual, Hong Kong resident, Jay Tan (@pocketjays), has signed up to keep Tatjana Pasalic (@tattytats) company in the hottest poker team in the world as the Bodog Recreational Poker Model launches in Asia. Jay’s signing coincides with the launch of a Chinese speaking client on the Bodog Poker Network and her fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese coupled with her poker prowess made her an irresistibly strong candidate. To date no other poker room has so specifically targeted itself directly to Chinese speakers and Bodog88 believe they can forge a new market for online poker.

Jay who confesses to regularly dreaming about getting leathered up, straddling a Ducati Monster and heading out on to the race track is the latest stunner to join Bodog’s poker team.

Jay is also pretty useful at the felts and recently came 2nd in the Red Dragon event at the Macau Poker Cup.

The adrenalin junkie is also a keen Mahjong player too – due in part to her aunt’s critically acclaimed book The Joy Luck Club in which bonding around the mahjong regularly features. Online mahjong is now the fastest growing game in Asia with an estimated 10,000,000 playing at any one time. Jay is a keen player of both online poker and mahjong and explains her decision to join Team Bodog:

“The Bodog brand is all about having a good time and they are never afraid to take on the establishment and I like to think that’s me too. Bodog88 also seems to really understand the Asian market…poker is relatively new to Asia where Mahjong is still king and I hear Bodog88 will have that online very soon. I’ve never seen anybody else have Super 6 Bacarat online before either – this is huge in the Macau casinos right now. It shows a real understanding of the region.”

She continues: “Bodog Network’s poker product is really wild and the anonymous tables have caused a lot of controversy but Asians will love it. They are new to the game and don’t want to be beaten by players who are unfairly using their own playing data against them.”

Jonas Odman, VP of the Bodog Poker Network, commented: “We have only just launched poker on the site and believe that while still a niche product in the region the Bodog Poker Network version we have will be more popular than conventional European poker rooms. In the same way Asian players prefer live dealer online casinos to the more normal RNG ones in Europe we believe Asians will prefer the protection from sharks that the anonymous tables offer them.”

“With Jay as the face of the brand we can take things a step further as she is a trusted and likeable ambassador for us – she can also play a mean game of poker!”

The 2012 World Series of Poker is going to be happening soon in the months of June and July. Thousands of people will be on hand to compete for millions of dollars in prize money. It is going to be an exciting time, and all kinds of players ranging from amateurs to professionals are going to try their luck. You will see new players making a splash with innovative play, but pros and some old legends will be on hand as well. You could very well run into Doyle Bruson, Amarillo Slim, Johnny Chan, Jennifer Harmon, or even Phil Helmuth.

Where Is It Going to Be Held?

The 2012 World Series of Poker is going to be at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This venue is well set-up to support this massive event. They have over 100,000 square feet of space designed to hold all the excited players that will be there. They also have 480 tables for the multitude of tournaments that will be going on, and have space for spectators to watch as well.

What Kinds of Games and Buy-Ins will be Available, and How do you Register?

There will be almost no end to the kinds of games that you can play in. You can play No Limit Texas Holdem, Limit Hold Em, Omaha, H.O.R.S.E. Razz, 2-7 Lowball, and others. There are even events where you play six handed or heads up, as opposed to a full table. Buy-ins for tournaments range from $500 all the way up to a million dollars. In addition to just WSOP events, there are many cash games on hand, and smaller tournaments not associated with the WSOP with entry fees as low as $135.

The most commonly watched tournament is the WSOP main event, which has a $10,000 entry fee, thousands of participants, and will reward a massive fortune to the winner. Depending on the number of players, the prize payout could be exceptionally high. Some of the previous events have had everybody who made the final table earn at least a million dollars. If you do not have $10,000 you might be interested in a satellite, which is a small tournament with a less sizable entry fee, and the winner gets admission to the main event.

Registering for a poker event is easy. You can simply locate the one you want to play in, and then pay in cash or casino chips shortly before it starts. If the event is for a bracelet, you can register up to two weeks in advance to ensure that you will have a seat. If you preregister, you can use a wire transfer or cashiers check to pay.

With all the great games available, it is hard to imagine any poker player not wanting to experience this event at least once. The company that runs the WSOP is Caesars Entertainment, and they also own a large variety of hotels in Las Vegas. If you play in a WSOP event, they will do their best to find affordable lodging for you during your stay.

Want to win your share of $750,000 for just $1? Bovada’s offering up a new tournament series that is bigger and better than anything the online poker site has run so far: the Black Diamond Poker Open. Starting on February 6th and running through April 1st, players have the opportunity to play in two main events and pick up a lot of money along the way.

The Black Diamond Poker Open features two levels of play: the Contender Series and the Championship Series. The Contender Series of tournaments features online poker tournaments with low to middle-range buy-ins that culminate in a $25,000 Guaranteed Main Event on Sunday, March 18. Along the way, you can play in events that feature prize pools totaling at least $100,000 guaranteed.

Once the Contender Series wraps up, the Championship Series begins and players with a little more in their bankroll can compete in mid-to-high stakes online poker tournaments that lead up to a main event that players are going to be talking about: a $250,000 Guaranteed tournament on Sunday, April 1st where the winner gets at least $50,000 and a Championship Watch worth $5,000.

Want to make the most of a single dollar? Satellites for the Contender Series and the Championship Series kick off on February 6th. These satellites start at just $1 and you’ll have over 2,000 chances to qualify for events that are on the schedule. Didn’t make it in using the regular schedule? Not a problem. Bovada’s holding Super Saturday Satellite Days the day before each Main Event. On Saturday, March 17th you can qualify for the Contender Main Event and on Saturday, March 31st, players can win their way into the Championship Main Event.

Pokerroom.com pioneered the online poker gaming scene in 1999 and became one of the first sites to offer online cash poker games. It operated until 2009 when it was forced out of business due to declining profits. Recently, the site surprised the poker world when it announced it was coming back. PokerRoom has now re-opened to welcome back old players and new players as well. It is one of the best online poker gaming sites for serious and beginning players of online poker. What’s great about this site is that it offers a wide array of games, which means that it has the variants of your favorite game. While it offers a wide spread of cash games, the favorite among players still remains multi-table tournaments

If you are a newbie when it comes to playing online poker games and want to take part in tournaments but would like more information, you are in luck. Pokerroom.com provides a unique solution; aside from being a platform for playing poker online, it also houses the PokerRoom community. You can easily post a question and wait for the members of the community to provide their input or you can check out the various resources of the community, including the PokerRoom poker school.

Signing-up on pokerroom.com is very easy, and you can even claim a free welcome bonus. That is not the only perk that makes signing up a must for every poker enthusiast. It also offers a great loyalty program wherein loyal players will get to earn player points. These points will allow users to gain access to the different rooms, with a wide assortment of benefits per room. Points are also used to unlock portions of your welcome bonuses. Points can be earned by playing either cash games or tournaments.

To join the multi-table tournaments, you must take note that you have to register for it five minutes before the actual game starts. Some multi-table tournaments have no asking sign up price and these are known as freeroll events. The other events range in buy-in amount, but many start at $5. The number of participants that can join this game can stretch from a minimum of 5 players to a maximum of 2,000 players. Now for the prize, it comes from the buy-in that each person pays; the registered player’s entire buy is collected, and this becomes the prize for the game. Buy-in’s for events at PokerRoom range from $1 to $500 per event. You can even setup a home poker game where you can invite just your friends and set your own buy-in and game type.

If you are interested in playing this game, you can gain more information about it by checking out the website. Head over and sign-up today. Registering for an account takes just a few short minutes, and there are numerous deposit options available. Sign-up today and you can take part in all of the exciting tournament action at PokerRoom.

If your interested in learning more on online poker or playing online then continue to read this article as we will go over some key requirements to do so before sending a poker company your hard earned money. One of the first things I’m going to ask you is do you prefer to play poker for fun or real money ? If your looking to play for fun check out a site like Zynga as they offer some free poker play daily. If your looking for a reputable online poker company then I would lean towards Carbon or Lock Poker. However not all players are created equal and the best way to figure out what poker room is for you is to visit the play poker online companies.

The company does a really good job on separating bad and good poker rooms to play at. One thing I have recently realized when visiting playpokeronline.com was all the statistical and great coverage they offer on how to actually win money playing poker on the web. You will see once you visit of the quality software and layout the site currently contains and the top rated poker rooms based on your needs. I really think they have done a fantastic job on reviewing these poker rooms fairly and based on the country you reside in.

In conclusion, If your going to play poker online then you need to visit a quality review site that will offer you all the bells and whistles you need for your new poker site.

If your looking to play poker online you will notice a large amount of poker rooms that offer the opportunity for you to play poker for fun or real money. Before you decide to do so it’s important to search around for the safest and most attractive promotional poker companies or you might not get paid after winning some money playing. Hands down my favorite online poker company is Carbon Poker. They have been around for many years and recently have started to offer there active players even more promotions you cannot find elsewhere. They are hands down probably the best poker site to play at especially after black friday when some of the largest poker sites got shut down for numerous reasons including unable to pay their poker members! You will not have that issue while playing poker online with Carbon.

Types Of Games

Carbon Poker has an explosive amount of poker games you can play which includes Razz, Texas holdem, and even Omaha poker. The limits range from a few cents a hand all the way up to 5,000.00 a hand so all types of players are welcome with the best online poker site. I have had some luck and fun playing at carbon. The software for the games seems to run flawlessly and there is absolutely no lag what so ever while playing. Another great benefit of Carbon Poker is the news and tips they provide us members in their blog.

Carbon Poker Blog

When you get done reading this article I recommend checking out Carbon Pokers blog as it’s full of resources and up to date news for you. If your playing poker and are not doing so well invest some time in the poker hand strategies they provide. Sometimes as a poker player it’s best to sit out and read up on how to play the game better. In conclusion the company rocks and if your not signed up with them yet I highly recommend you join and educate yourself today.
