Betting on NHL Prop Bets

NHL fans and sports betting online experts both love to speculate about the things that they feel should happen in the coming NHL season. This coming NHL season is no different as there are already rumors floating around about some of the biggest names in hockey.

The legal online sports betting sites can speculate all they want, but here are some headlines that fans want to see which will never be published. Let the speculation begin.

Martin Brodeur Retires

As soon as the New Jersey Devils lost the Stanley Cup to the Los Angeles Kings, the rumors about New Jersey’s legendary goaltender Martin Brodeur retiring started flying around in full force. Most of these rumors ignore the fact that Brodeur has not given any indication that he wants to hang the skates up at the age of 40.

Martin Brodeur is one of those cases of a player that just keeps playing at a high level despite hitting the age of 40. Brodeur was a legitimate Conn Smythe contender in the Stanley Cup Finals and will be between the pipes for the New Jersey Devils for the 2012-2013 season and probably beyond.

Sabres Fire Lindy Ruff and Darcy Regier

Buffalo Sabres’ head coach Lindy Ruff and general manager Darcy Regier have the distinction of being the longest tenured general manager-head coaching duo to never win a Stanley Cup. The best online sportsbook experts hear the cries from Sabres fans to bring in new people to spur the team to a championship, but those cries are falling on deaf ears. New team owner Terry Pegula and new team president Ted Black have publicly backed Regier and Ruff and say that the duo is firmly installed into the organization for the foreseeable future.

Tim Thomas Starts the Season for the Boston Bruins

In one of the more bizarre stories to surface in recent weeks, Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas has stated that he will not play the 2012-2013 season. Thomas posted this news on his Facebook page before even telling the Bruins. Most fans thought it was a joke and expect Thomas to suit up for next season. But Boston management has confirmed it and has stated that Tuukka Rask will be the starting goaltender next season for the Boston Bruins. Tim Thomas has not elaborated on his statement only saying that he is leaving the NHL to pursue personal matters.

Alexander Radulov Suits Up for the Nashville Predators

The online betting USA experts are having a tough time figuring out why the Predators would wait years to finally get Alexander Radulov into uniform, have Radulov play well and then let him go. But that is exactly what the Predators have done. For the fans that had looked forward to seeing Radulov play a full season in Nashville next year, that dream has been shattered. There is still no indication as to whether Radulov will enter free agency or go back home to Russia and rejoin his Russian team.
