Sports Betting Online – What To Bet On Next Week

Most MLB betting players know that summer would point out that the sports world slows down, which means a lot of baseball and golf and that is what you will find in your sportsbook next week.

Tuesday

Blue Jays Yankees Odds (7:05 PM ET): New York’s C.C. Sabathia sat out a couple weeks before the All-Star break with a strain in his groin, and that may have been the best thing for the Yankees’ ace, who has carried the team for the last few years. He returns to the mound on Tuesday against Toronto and Sabathia has a 12-3 record in 16 starts against the Blue Jays, who will counter with Brett Cecil.

Wednesday

Phillies Dodgers Odds (3:10 PM ET): It is not every day that online betting players get to see a matchup of former Cy Young winners, but that is what will go down on Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles when Philadelphia’s Cliff Lee takes on Los Angeles’ Clayton Kershaw. Neither pitcher has really lived up to their lofty standards in 2012, but that can change when they see who they’ll be up against and it could be a tough day for hitters.

Thursday

British Open Odds (tee times TBA): The 141st edition of the Open Championship tees off at Royal Lytham and St. Annes in England, and Darren Clarke is the defending champion, but he have to fight off the best players in golf, such as Tiger Woods, a three-time winner at the British Open. The European contingent should also have a say in the tournament as Rory Mcllroy, Graeme McDowell, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood could all be near the top of the leader in what could be the most difficult major championship for players to handicap if you’re betting online.

Friday

Giants Phillies Odds (7:05 PM ET): Pitching matchups haven’t been released yet and a lot can happen in a week, but both of these teams have a lot on the line coming out of the break, especially Philadelphia, who has a few big decisions to make over the next few weeks. Are they still in the hunt for the postseason? Will they trade Cole Hamels? The lefty would certainly help a team’s odds if you’re looking to do some MLB betting online (find MLB betting information here).
