Sports Betting Online – What Is On The Docket This Week?

If you’re looking to get into online betting, summer is probably the time to get your feet wet as there isn’t a lot going on in the sports world, so you can ease into football season. Right now, you can fill up your week with baseball betting, while the third major tournament of the golf season tees off as well.

Phillies Dodgers Odds (10:10 PM ET): Philadelphia will get a huge part of their sportsbook chances back as Roy Halladay returns to the rotation after missing six weeks, and not a moment too soon as the Phillies could be in the running to trade away Cole Hamels before the deadline. Los Angeles hasn’t decided who they will put out against the two-time Cy Young winner, and after an extended break, Halladay should be ready to get back on the mound.

Diamondbacks Reds Odds (7:10 PM ET): If Arizona is going to start a charge for the wild-card spot, it has to start now and Ian Kennedy has to find some of the magic that made him a 21-game  winner in 2011 if they’re going to put the pressure on the teams ahead of them. Cincinnati will counter with Mat Latos, who knows the Diamondbacks well from his time in San Diego.

British Open Odds (tee times start at 1:00 AM ET): The Open Championship tees off on Thursday in England at Royal Lytham and St. Annes, and Tiger Woods will be a major storyline for online sports betting (find more info on golf lines) players as he goes for his fourth British Open win, and 15th overall in the majors. He’ll tee off at 4:42 AM ET with Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia, while defending champion Darren Clarke tees off about 30 minutes before with Ernie Els and Zach Johnson.

White Sox Tigers Odds (7:05 PM ET): Chicago’s Chris Sale has been one of the biggest surprises of the first half of the season as the White Sox lead the American League Central. He’ll lead the White Sox into Detroit to face reigning Cy Young winner Justin Verlander, who was rocked in the All-Star Game, but came back with a vengeance in his first start of the second half, so the Tigers should be the favorites if you’re going to wager at online sports books.
