The Miami Heat have made history by acquiring one of the best threesomes in NBA history, but would you take them versus the field? Here’s the latest from BroburySports.com.

In case you’ve been vacationing in a remote jungle, here’s a recap. James decided to ‘take his talents to South Beach’ and team up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. He made ‘The Decision’ on an ESPN spectacle that showed little respect for his former Cleveland team or anyone else involved in the process.

Brobury was the first sportsbook to be all over this situation. NBA title odds were released immediately and Miami is the +180 favorite, ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers (+300).

Miami is also +180 versus the favored -240 ‘field.’ That’s a ton of respect for a Heat team that only has a few players on its roster right now. The Miami projected win total of 62 ½-games is also very aggressive.

James, Wade and Bosh proved they could play together in the Olympics, but the supporting cast is still a big question mark.

Mike Miller is reportedly almost done signing a deal with the Heat. He’s a key acquisition as a  swingman as he can really shoot it from deep. James is very capable of playing point guard when he’s on the court with Wade and Miller.

Miami is also talking to Los Angeles point guard Derek Fisher, but chances are he stays with the defending champs. The need for Fisher is much less than Miller or a couple of quality big men.

Udonis Haslem is a player Miami really wants to keep as he’s a tough rebounder and defensive player. However, he’s reportedly been offered a contract by Dallas and owner Mark Cuban that could be too good to pass up.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas is one option for the center position. ‘Big Z’ has made a lot of money in his career and is a former teammate of LeBron in Cleveland. He’s the prefect candidate to take a minimum salary deal, although just adding him isn’t enough.

Shaquille O’Neal is another player mentioned, but he has too much pride to take short money. He also just gave a chunk of his cash to his ex-wife.

Overall, Miami deserves to be one of the NBA favorites, but these new odds are a little too aggressive until we see the final roster. The Lakers should still be the title ‘chalk.’
