GIQ WNBA Summary — Seattle Storm 69, Los Angeles Sparks 67

Seattle, averaging 84 points in conference games, extended their record in conference to 6-0, but lost to the spread, the first-half total, and the game total. It was Seattle’s first failure to cover at home.

The Storm shot better than .500 in their last two wins, but only .458 on Friday. They led by 16 with 5:56 left in the third, and had -10 covered at 1:14, but the Sparks ran off 15-4 to tie the game at 59 with 4:39 remaining. 

Lauren Jackson had 32 points and eight rebounds for Seattle. Besides Jackson’s 12-of-15 and Sue Bird’s 6-of-12, the Storm shot 9-for-32. None of the Seattle reserves scored.

Three players scored in double figures for Los Angeles. Tina Thompson had 20. The Sparks have made four unders in a row, and six of eight total.
