GIQ WNBA Summary — Indiana Fever 82, New York Liberty 81

by Frisco Del Rosario on November 13, 2014

The visiting Fever came back from a 17-point second half deficit before winning in overtime. Fever guard Katie Douglas scored all of her 28 points in the second half.

The Liberty led 50-33 with 2:34 left in the third quarter, but the Fever went on a 26-9 run to tie the game at 59-59 with 4:45 remaining. Bettors who took New York -2 were rejuvenated when the Liberty went ahead 68-63 with 27 seconds to go, but then Douglas hit a jumper, Janel McCarville missed two free throws, and Tamika Catchings tied it at 68 with a three.

The overtime meant totals bettors who took under 142 were unexpectedly doomed, though they’d felt confident since the first quarter ended 13-7.

The Fever hit 10-of-11 free throws in overtime, including 4-of-4 by Ebony Hoffman. Gambling IQ forecast turnovers would be critical — the Liberty made two miscues in OT that turned into four points. New York finished with 21 turnovers.

Indiana has won five in a row for the second time in franchise history. New York is 0-2 at home straight up and ATS against conference opponents.
