The Mystics hold the distinction of being two games better against the spread than straight up, while the Sparks are in a holding pattern while Candace Parker regains MVP form.
The Sparks are on the first of a six-game road swing that lasts until August 1. They just won their first road game Thursday in New York, where Parker returned to the starting lineup and played 23 minutes.
Washington hasn’t been home since June 25, when they lost to Phoenix. They lost three of four on the road, but beat the spread three times. Lindsey Harding led the Mystics in scoring in three games on the road trip, while the team’s plan from the preseason has been to lighten the load on Alana Beard.
