GIQ WNBA Preview — Los Angeles Sparks at Chicago Sky

by The General on July 29, 2009

Gambling IQ said yesterday that Los Angeles had primed themselves for a late kick. The Sparks put off most of their games until the second half, when Candace Parker would be better recovered from maternity leave.

Parker posted her first double-double of the year in a road win Tuesday against Minnesota. It was the Sparks’ first road win against a contending team.

Chicago is in danger of disappearing in the East. Following a 6-3 start, the Sky have lost seven of nine (and nine of 11 ATS), staying one game ahead of the cellar.

The Sky’s record ATS is three games worse than their SU record, the worst differential in the league. The Sky have made 13 overs against 8 wins SU, also the widest such differential.

Against Western teams at home, Chicago is 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS, when Jia Perkins averaged 19 points and Sylvia Fowles 13 rebounds per game.
