GIQ WNBA Preview — Seattle Storm at Detroit Shock

When Atlanta covered -1 against Seattle, and Chicago pushed -3 against Minnesota Sunday, it extended the East’s ATS lead over the West to 29-19. (If the bettor got -2 in the Chicago game, the record improves to 30-19.)

Tuesday’s WNBA schedule is made up of three interconference games.

Seattle has lost seven in a row ATS, and hasn’t won a road game since visiting last-place Sacramento a month ago. Additionally, the Storm are 0-4 ATS and SU in road games against the East.

After their worst offensive performance of the season in Connecticut Thursday, the Storm recovered to shoot .508 in Atlanta Saturday but were doomed by 19 turnovers plus 14 offensive rebounds by the Dream.

The Shock’s chances to get back into the Eastern race are fading. Their last eight games were in conference, but Detroit gained no games on the five teams ahead of them in the standings.

On the bright said, the Shock have won three of four at home SU, 2-2 ATS, 1-3 O/U. Rookie Shavonte Zellous scored 35 points in Detroit’s last two wins.
