by The General on July 8, 2009

Expect the biggest spread and the biggest total of the season Wednesday.

Host Phoenix is 6-1 at home, 6-1 ATS, with six overs. Visiting Chicago is 1-5 away, 1-5 ATS, with six overs.

The Mercury and Sky are nos. 1 and 3 in points scored, nos. 10 and 13 in points allowed.

Phoenix and Chicago are nos. 1 and 2 in the league in field goal shooting, nos. 10 and 13 in FG% allowed.

The teams are nos. 1 and 4 in assists, and nos. 12 and 13 in assists allowed.

The Phoenix transition game starts with 26 defensive rebounds per game, highest in the league. Chicago is 10th in offensive rebounds, while league rebound leader Sylvia Fowles (9 rpg, 2 offensive) will be sidelined. Fowles is also Chicago’s most reliable shooter — without Fowles, the Sky FG% drops from 45.5 to 42.9.

The Sky are on the second night of a back-to-back on the road.
