Los Angeles spotted the Western Conference eight games with Lisa Leslie on the injured list and Candace Parker on maternity leave (and won three of eight). Parker, the most marketable player in the league — a pretty young mother with an MVP trophy who can get over the rim — returns Sunday, just in time for a nationally-televised game against Phoenix. (The league will make as big a media production as it can about Parker, planning to overshadow the DUI on the Phoenix side.)
The Sparks have seven unders in eight games — three unders in three home games. In Los Angeles’s last two home games, their opponents shot 35-of-118 (.297). Phoenix managed .400 in three most recent road games.
Phoenix has nine overs in 11 games — three overs in four road games. On Phoenix’s recent three-game road swing, the opponents scored 93 points per game.
