Question Do Gamblers in general, Drink more then Non gamblers?

I think the answer is yes ... I wonder if sharps drink less then Squares since they tend to win more and do not need to get drunk to get over the losses they take?

I dunno. Many of my friends who rarely wager, but drink a lot. Mind altering chemistry can work in funny ways.

do we conclude...

Non drinking gambler = sharp gambler
alcoholic gambler = square gambler

In a recent study of Ivy league professors it was found 97.9% of gamblers were losers and 96.9% were users of alcohol and modern chemistry.

there is probably three recovering alcoholics at every casino poker table.

the incidence of smoking to gambling has to be through the roof.

Really good question Dante....But not sure what my answer would be.

I use to drink a lot more when I was Younger. If I go to a Game, like to have a few with the Boys. ( like at this years All-Star game ) LOL

When I Gamble, No "Real" Drinking ! for me. Other then, if I'm at say a Table in a Casino...I will order maybe a Baily's on the rocks.

thanks Pick...the reason I ask is that I have played poker and gambled recreationally for 7 years and I do not drink at all but notice 95% of gamblers are drinkers and most HUGE drinkers from what I have seen
