| NCAAF Week Two At first glance, two game for next week stick out for me. I am not sold on either pick just yet but will be digging deeper into these matchups over the next couple of days. Texas Tech (-9.5) at Nevada
If Grambling passed for 225 yards against the Wolf Pack, what do you think the Red Raiders are going to do? Granted, Nevada rushed for 425 yards as a team but Tech’s defensive front is greatly improved this year as is their secondary which had three interceptions against Eastern Washington. Tech passed for 639 yards on Saturday and if they can avoid the penalties (18 for 169 yards), they should be able to do the same against Nevada
Utah State (+35) at Oregon
Sure, Oregon throttled Washington by 34 points but that was the Huskies. Diondre Borel will probably start at QB this week for the Aggies and he played pretty well in the second half this past week and he is a dual threat. Duck QB Roper was pegged to be the backup before Costas tore up his knee in practice last week and now Roper was knocked out of Saturday’s game with a mild concussion. They are not going to be able to hang with the Ducks but I think that again this week, the linesmaker is not giving Utah State enough credit.

| I went ahead and played both of these as Texas Tech's line has already move a half point against me but I got an extra half on Utah State. Texas Tech (-10) Utah State (+35.5)

Business demands have dictated less time to spend on written analysis this year. In past seasons I actually have used my write-ups as a tool to refine my plays by eliminating opinions as I typed and then finally convincing myself on a side.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), the time to do this is becoming less available and as a result, I have decided to cut my wager size in half this season. We'll see how that works out as the season progresses. I like the attitude here at GIQ, hope it florishes and will post my NCAAF plays here all season.

Utah State really let me down. After scoring 10 consecutive points in the 4th for a half point backdoor cover, they allowed the Ducks to come back with a garbage touchdown in the closing minutes. Another sobering reminder of why this affliction is called gambling.

Not exactly Cooper territory but I'll take it.
NCAAF Record: 16-6
Best Bets: 3-0
