Eskimos Host Lions in CFL West Division Clash

by Dirty on August 18, 2011

Eskimos CFL Football Betting The first-place Edmonton Eskimos welcome the 1-6 BC Lions to Commonwealth Stadium on Friday. The Bodog Sportsbook has the Eskimos’ CFL odds of winning the Grey Cup set at 11/2 while the Lions are at 14/1.
When last these two teams met on July 16, Edmonton crushed BC 33-17. The Lions got their first and only win of the season two weeks ago when they beat Saskatchewan.
As much as this game looks like a walk in the park for the Eskimos, they’ll still have to maintain their league-best defense, and repair a faulty offense that failed against Montreal in last week’s 27-4 loss.
Running back Daniel Porter is saddling up for Edmonton, taking over for Calvin McCarty and Jerome Messam, who lost more ground than they gained against Montreal. Edmonton will likely stick to the ground against BC like they did in running for 142 rushing yards in July.
The Lions will counter by removing WR Kamau Peterson from the lineup and replacing him with Paris Jackson, hoping to reduce the number of dropped balls and get the offense going. RB Jamal Robertson will also be back after missing a game.
