The New Jersey Devils showed signs of life against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday and will look to capitalize on the momentum when the Stanley Cup Finals shift back to Newark for Game 5 this Saturday. With the NHL odds against them, can New Jersey extend their fate yet again?

Although it looked as though an L.A. sweep was all but inevitable for the struggling Devils, a standout performance in net from goaltender Martin Brodeur helped insure that they’ll see the light of another day.

Now facing a 1-3 hole, can the Devils climb further up the Stanley Cup futures? According to Bovada’s NHL oddsmakers, New Jersey will have their work cut out for them clawing their way to a series win, but a Game 5 victory isn’t out of the question.

Think Brodeur can hang on between the pipes while the offense in front of him looks to continue to roll? It hasn’t been easy getting pucks past Los Angeles netminder Jonathan Quick, but the Devils have the starpower to do it.
