Celtics top Magic in East opener

Ray Allen tossed in 25 points on Sunday afternoon as the Boston Celtics topped the Orlando Magic 92-88 in the first game of the Eastern Finals.

The Magic were listed as 6.5-point home favorites in this contest, while the combined score fell UNDER the day’s posted total (189.5).

Paul Pierce added 22 points for Boston in the win. Vince Carter poured in a team-high 23 points in the loss for Orlando.
