Kyle Busch completed a weekend series sweep by capturing the Sprint Cup Irwin Tools race Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway, becoming the first Nascar driver to accomplish such a feat.
With the win Busch moved up to third overall in the Chase standings. David Reutimann crossed the line in second, followed by Chase contenders Jamie McMurray, Clint Bowyer and Kasey Kahne, who ran fifth in his Ford.
Ryan Newman finished sixth, just ahead of Juan Montoya who placed seventh. Greg Biffle was eighth, followed by Kurt Busch in ninth, while Matt Kenseth rounded out the top 10. Jeff Gordon clinched a cup spot with his 11th place finish at Bristol.
The drivers of Nascar take to the track next for the Emory Healthcare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on September 5th.
