The 2010 NCAA football season is finally here. Believe it. Week 1 kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 2 and it marks the return of No. 2-ranked Ohio State University vs. fan favorite Marshall in a battle that may well surprise the Buckeyes, particularly if their minds start wandering over into Week 2 (a matchup against the No. 13-ranked University of Miami).

But the big start to the 2010 campaign goes down on Saturday, Sept. 4 with the No. 1-ranked defending champions Alabama Crimson Tide, who will host San Jose State.

The most anticipated match ups of the weekend will no doubt include No. 6-ranked TCU versus No. 24-ranked Oregon State, as well as No. 18-ranked North Carolina versus No. 21-ranked LSU.

Be sure to watch plenty of game tape if you hope to make your mark as a player in this year’s big debut. Get in the game. Get your college football odds, props and futures at Bodog Sportsbook.

No. 6-ranked Texas Christian will have their work cut out for them in Week 1 as they begin their 2010 NCAA football campaign against No. 24-ranked Oregon State on Saturday. Just last season, the TCU Horned Frogs battled their way to an undefeated 12-0 season before falling to Boise State in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

Excluding the Fiesta Bowl loss, Texas Christian was undefeated against top-25 opponents in 2009, topping both Utah and Brigham State. With quarterback Andy Dalton back for his senior year in Arlington, expect much of the same success.

Looking to spoil a consecutive undefeated regular season before it can even begin are the Sean Canfield-led Oregon State Beavers. Oregon State finished the 2009 campaign with a modest 8-4 record before getting hammered by Brigham Young in the MAACO Bowl in Las Vegas last December.

In a matchup that considerably favors the Horned Frogs, the Beavers will have nothing to lose, making them an intriguing choice for bettors looking to start the 2010 season off with an impressive upset.
