Bet Jamaica NASCAR Wrap Up — Johnson wins at Auto Club

by Dirty on February 22, 2010

Jimmie Johnson didn’t take long to get back to victory lane. In the second race of the season Johnson held off Kevin Harvick late to take the checkered flag in the Auto Club 500 at Auto Club Speedway.

Following Johnson and Harvick across the finish line was Jeff Burton in third, Mark Martin in fourth and Joey Logano in fifth. Kurt Busch was sixth, Matt Kenseth was seventh and Clint Bowyer was eighth. Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were Tony Stewart and Greg Biffle.

The early lead in the chase belongs to Harvick, who posted back-to-back Top 10 finishes with a sixth place last week at Daytona. He has 331 points on the season and leads Bowyer by 19 points.

The Sprint Cup Series returns to the track next week at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the Shelby American.
