Bet Jamaica Daily Sports Roundup: November 25
November 25, 2008
Ball State will be looking for win No. 12 on Tuesday, while the Knicks will be looking to dress 12 players versus the Cavs. Here’s your Daily Sports Roundup.
The Gridiron Spotlight
It’s Navy vs. Northern Illinois and Western Michigan vs. Ball State in college football action on Tuesday night. The Huskies (6-5 SU, 6-4 ATS) opened as 4-point favorites in their game against the Midshipmen, and they snapped a two-game losing streak last time out by beating Kent State 42-14. Navy (6-4 SU, 4-5 ATS) fell 27-21 to Notre Dame in their last game, ending a two-game win streak.
However, the bigger matchup sees 11-0 (8-2 ATS) Ball State looking to run the table by taking care of Western Michigan (9-2 SU, 5-5 ATS). The Cardinals won their 11th consecutive contest last week, getting past Central Michigan by a final score of 31-24, and they sit at No. 15 in both the AP Poll and the BCS rankings. The Broncos are on a three-game win streak; they beat Toledo 27-17 last game. The oddsmakers like Ball State in this one, as they opened as 10-point favorites.
Other Notable Events
The Knicks could have each of Al Harrington, Tim Thomas, and Cuttino Mobley in their lineup on Tuesday night when they play host to the Cavaliers. New York shed Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford in trades last week, and the trio they picked up in return weren’t cleared to play for the team over the weekend. The short bench didn’t cost them Saturday, though, as they beat the Wizards 122-117.
Four other matchups populate the NBA’s schedule for Tuesday, including Golden State at Washington, Phoenix at Oklahoma City, and Indiana at Dallas. As well, the Lakers will look to continue their winning ways at home when the Nets come to town. New Jersey beat the Clippers 112-95 on their own floor Saturday night.
The Rest of the Schedule
There are just three games on the NHL’s schedule for Tuesday: Atlanta at Toronto, Los Angeles at Calgary, and St. Louis at Nashville. The Predators beat the Canes 5-2 on Sunday afternoon to improve to 10-9-1 on the season. Defenseman Shea Weber led the way with two goals and an assist in the victory.
Finally, college basketball’s Maui Invitational and CBE Classic tournaments continue on Tuesday, with matchups not yet set at press time (check the books for the latest lines). Along with the participants in those events, other notable teams playing Tuesday include Pittsburgh, Villanova, Davidson, and Marquette.

NFL Betting - Early week NFL football action
November 25, 2008
By: BetOnline.com
NFL football betting fans, sports betting sharps and NFL football odds experts will have their eyes on the NFL lines, NFL odds, NFL spreads and NFL picks during the early part of this week as the games kick off on Thursday.
The Thursday slate will feature four very determined teams, all for four very different reasons. First, the Tennessee Titans will take on the Detroit Lions in a matchup between two very young teams—with the exception of the quarterbacks! Kerry Collins will be slinging for the Titans, while Daunte Culpepper will be in the pocket (and out of it) for the Detroit Lions. Tennessee entered last week as the favorites on NFL football lines to capture the Super Bowl, however a crushing loss to the New York Jets changed that completely. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions have been on the opposite end of the spectrum—while the Titans were undefeated up until last week, the Lions are, sadly, winless. NFL odds suggest that both teams will rely heavily on their ground games, featuring rookie running backs Chris Johnson and Kevin Smith, respectively.
The only reason NFL football odds favor the Eagles is the fact that they’re at home. In all ways, the Cardinals are a superior team, although both are coming off tough losses. Both teams love to air the ball out, so at the very least, expect some points to go up on the board!

November 21, 2008
By: BetOnline.com
NCAA basketball betting sharps, online sports betting enthusiasts, and those who enjoy betting on basketball are in a frenzy right now, with both NBA betting and NCAA basketball odds on the board on a nightly basis.
Thus far, most of the favorites have managed to cover NCAA basketball spreads and NCAA basketball lines, however there have been a handful of Cinderella upsets already this season that sportsbook customers have cashed in on!
The NCAA basketball betting world was turned upside down when the University of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers defeated the Arizona Wildcats on Tuesday night in a thrilling down-to-the-wire tilt that ended 73-72. The NCAA basketball odds were defied, as the Wildcats made numerous errors in the contest leading to the defeat.
With roughly a minute left, an Arizona freshman hit two free throws, and then foolishly fouled immediately, although his team was not in the double bonus. Later, the Wildcats tied the game on a layup with a second remaining, and then fouled the UAB player taking a desperation shot from half court prior to overtime. The Blazer hit one of two free throws, and his team went on to capture the underdog win on NCAA basketball lines, NCAA basketball spreads and NCAA basketball picks.

Ben Roethlisberger went 31-of-41 for 308 yards passing with no touchdowns, while Willie Parker ran for 115 yards on 25 carries.
Not be outdone the Bengals also turned in a strange result last week, as they ended up in a 13-13 tie with the Eagles. Last season the Steelers were 2-0 SU and ATS against the Bengals.
